The ExxonMobil group of companies in Australia is the country’s largest integrated oil and gas company, with a total investment of over A$13 billion.

ExxonMobil Australia’s upstream business is conducted through Esso Australia Resources and Mobil Exploration and Producing Australia. Esso operates the Bass Strait offshore oil and gas fields and associated production and processing facilities.

In Western Australia, the company is a 25% co-venturer in the Gorgon project, which includes Australia’s largest gas field Jansz.
